Es wird ein bisher unbekanntes Dokument von Jan Daniel Georgens, dem Mitbegründer der ersten systematischen Heilpädagogik, der Fachöffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht. Während seiner Zeit in Nürnberg von etwa 1865 bis 1867 konzipierte Georgens das Programm seiner Levanaschulen als Einrichtungen, die Kindergarten, Volksschule und Erzieherinnenschule umfaßten. Auf die Weiterentwicklung der Ideen von Fröbel und Pestalozzi innerhalb eines Schulkonzepts wird aufmerksam gemacht. Die in der Schulprogrammatik der Levanaschulen vorgesehene Aufnahme behinderter Kinder in diese besondere, vom Grundsatz der Arbeitsschule geprägten Volksschule in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts ist bemerkenswert. Die Hilfsschule als besonderer Zweig der Volksschule hat die frühen arbeitsschulischen Akzente der Levanaschulen nicht aufgenommen

As so far unknown document Jan Daniel Georgens, the co-founder of the first systematic remedial education, is opened to a special public. While working in Nuremberg from about 1865 until 1867 Georgens designed the program of his Levana school system. It was conceived as an institution including kindergarten, elementary school and a place for training governesses. Some further development ot the pedagogic ideas of Fröbel and Pestalozzi in the Levana school conceptions is pointed out. Noteworthy is the fact that - according to the Levana educational conception - handicapped learners in the middle of the 19 century were explicitly admitted to those special schools the basic principles of which were governed by the root ideas of learning by doing. The "Hilfsschule" however, a type of school which lateron worked as a special branch of the elementary school, did not adopt the early Levana school principles of learning by doing.
